BSC falls to Centre on the road, 64-50

DANVILLE, Ky.—The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team lost on the road Friday evening, falling to Centre, 64-50, in Danville, Ky.

The Panthers fall to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while the Colonels advance to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the league.

Junior Alex Adams led BSC with 17 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the field, followed by junior Caroline King with 14 points and a team-high six rebounds. Seniors Sam Davidson and Kristian Moody led with three assists each.

The Colonels out-rebounded BSC, 35-29, and out-shot them in every category. BSC was 19-of-48 (39.6 percent) from the field, 5-of-21 (23.8 percent) from three-point range, and 7-of-11 (63.6 percent) from the free throw line.

BSC stays on the road to face Sewanee on Sunday at noon in Sewanee, Tenn.
