BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team moved to 5-0 in Southern Athletic Conference play Sunday with its 70-47 win over Berry College in Bill Battle Coliseum. The Panthers are now 10-6 overall on the year.

Camillia Carter (Hueytown, Ala./Hueytown HS) led with a game-high 19 points.  Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) picked up her fourth double-double of the season.  She finished with 14 points, and a game and career-high 16 rebounds.

Jothani Dixon (Tuscumbia, Ala./Deshler HS) and Jameice Holmes (Nashville, Tenn./University School of Nashville) rounded out the Panthers in double-figures.  They earned 12 and 10 points, respectively.

BSC went on a 31-7 run in the second quarter to open the game up. The rally set a new single-quarter scoring record, breaking the previous record of 30 set against Huntingdon back on November 21, 2015, also in the second quarter.

The Panthers continue SAA play on Friday, Jan. 20 in a doubleheader with the men against Centre College.  The women tipoff at 6 p.m. and the men follow at 8 p.m.
