Panthers Fall to Millsaps in SAA Opener

JACKSON, Miss. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team never found its rhythm as the Panthers fell 60-22 on the road at Millsaps College to open Southern Athletic Association play.

Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) and Christian McGowan (Birmingham, Ala./Oak Mountain HS) led the team in points.  Olsen also grabbed  a game-high eight rebounds.

Conference play continues this weekend as the Panthers welcome Oglethorpe University and Berry College to Battle Coliseum.  BSC will face the Stormy Petrels on Friday night at 6 p.m. and then the Vikings on Sunday at 1 p.m.
