NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The BSC women's golf team finished third overall in the Yale Women's Fall Intercollegiate over the weekend in Connecticut. The Panthers finished just seven strokes back of tournament champion Harvard with a team 308.
Jordan Hardy posted the best individual round for the Panthers shooting a 74 to tie for sixth with two other golfers. Kelley Burgess also finished in the top-ten one stroke back at 75 with four others.
The event was shortened to a single 18-hole tournament when Saturday's rounds were call due to weather. Harvard University (301) finished first, Texas-San Antonio (305) came in four strokes back, with BSC (308) in third. The Panthers finished ahead of William & Mary (309) by one stroke, St. John's (310). Tournament host, Yale, finished in sixth with 311.
The Panthers will be closer to home for their next tournament. The men's and women's teams will both compete at the Berry College Invitational at Coosa Country Club in Rome, Georgia on October 13th and 14th.
