Women's Golf leading after first day of Rhodes Invitational

TUPELO, Miss. - The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team is leading after the first round of the 2008 Rhodes College Invitational.  The Panthers are shooting a combined 308 to sit atop the leaderboard.  There are eleven other teams in the tournament, including the two-time SCAC champion Southwestern. 

Ashley Lovell and Gaukhar Amandossova are tied for the top spot of the individual leaderboard with a 75.  Jordan Hardy is one stroke behind in third place with a 76. 

DePauw is 11 strokes behind the Panthers with a 329, Southwestern, the defending SCAC champion, is in third with 338. 

The final round of the invitational begins today, more information will be posted as it becomes available.
