Gold Division: Team Results | Individual Results
CALERA, Ala. – Indiana State and West Florida were the two team winners at the 2010 Ann Rhoads Classic, Monday, at Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Ala.
Indiana State won the “Black” Division with a two-round team score of 634, while West Florida won the “Gold” Division with a score of 655.
Jackson State’s Jennifer Sells and Evansville’s Maggie Wood tied for first place among individuals in the Black Division with two-round totals of 152. Emily Gibson of Montevallo won the Gold Division after tying with Mobile’s Maegan Rice with a score of 149, but winning the playoff round.
In the Black Division, Tennessee Tech came in second with a total of 643, and Evansville was third with 653. TTU’s Diana Carson placed third overall with a score of 153, followed by Mackenzie Mack and Astrid Parsson of Indiana State, who tied for fourth with scores of 154.
Shorter College and West Georgia placed second and third in the Gold Division with team scores of 665 and 673. BSC junior Ashley Lovell came in third overall with a two-round score of 151, followed by West Georgia’s Sarah Ross with 157 and Montevallo’s Emma Breen with 158.
The Panthers placed fifth overall in the Gold Division with a team total of 687. Lovell paced BSC with her 151, followed by sophomore Jennifer Commander at 11th with a score of 166, freshman Michelle Morris with 185, and freshman Marissa Gacek, also with 185. Sophomore Gaukhar Amandossova, who would have played in the third spot for BSC today, did not play due to illness, so the Panthers were short one athlete.
BSC is back in action on March 15 and 16 at the Berry College Invitational in Coosa, Ga.
