Final Results
PLATTVILLE, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team closed out the season in style today, winning the Hawk Invitational hosted by Huntingdon College.
#Ashley Lovell# finished the day in a tie for first place on the leader board with ASU's Aileen Meredith. Both golfers posted a 156 for the tournament, but Meredith was named the tournament champion in a score-card tie-breaker. A traditional single-hole playoff was not conducted to determine the winner.
#Jennifer Commander# closed out her season right behind her teammate in third with a 159. #Michelle Morris# also finished in the top ten with 166. #Marissa Gacek# rounded out the Panther scores in a tie for 22nd overall with a 190 over the two day tournament.
The win marks the fourth tournament win of the 2009-10 season for the Panthers. They also took first place at the Sewanee Fall Classic, the Rhodes Fall Invitational, and the Dual Match with the University of Montevallo.
