Jesse Lawley commits to BSC Women's Golf program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern women's golf program has received a commitment from Jesse Lawley, who has completed her intent to enroll in the college this fall and play for the Panthers.

Lawley is a graduate of Westbrook Christian School in Rainbow City, Ala., where she was a three-year varsity golf letterwinner and team captain. She made it to the sub-state playoffs all three seasons. Lawley was also a five-year letterwinner in basketball, and was team captain her junior and senior seasons. She was named to the 2011 All-Area Tournament Team.

Lawley received the National U.S. Army Girl Scholar Athlete Award, Wendy's High School Heisman Scholar Athlete Award, and Westbrook Christian's Girl Scholar Athlete Award. She graduated as Salutatorian of her class with a 4.418 grade point average and Beta Club President and a three-year member of the National Honor Society. Lawley attended the University of Alabama Youth Summit in 2010 and the University of Alabama Capstone Leadership Academy in 2009. She was also a Warrior Representative, which is a faculty-selected school representative, her sophomore, junior, and senior years.
