BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Columbus State was the overall team winner with a two-round score of 601 at the Southern Shootout, hosted by the Birmingham-Southern women's golf team at Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham. CSU's Nikki Crowley was the overall winner with an even-par total of 140.
Shorter College finished one stroke behind CSU with 602, followed by Birmingham-Southern with 612 and Lee University and Montevallo tied for fourth with 631 each.
Shorter's Greta Lange placed second overall with 141, followed by Montevallo's Emily Gibson at third with 144, BSC freshman Ellen Chun at fourth with 146, and Shorter's Gabriella Murcia at fifth with 147. There was a three-way tie for sixth place amongst Shorter's Lisa Parsson and CSU's Kimesha Anthony and Heather Altiser, who all shot 150.
Other finishers for BSC were senior Ashley Lovell at 10th with 152, freshman Kaleigh Toole at 18th with 158, freshman Katie Skeeles at 23rd with 159, and junior Jennifer Commander at 37th with 164.
