No. 17 Indianapolis wins 2012 Ann Rhoads Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—17th-ranked University of Indianapolis held tight to its top spot on the final day of the 2012 Ann Rhoads Women's Golf Invitational, turning in a team score of 308 today to win the title with a two-round total of 644.

UI's Darin Pinnick was also the overall individual champion after winning a play-off with No. 1 Methodist University's Jennifer Sullivan after both golfers finished with scores of 158.

Tennessee Tech finished second overall with a score of 658, followed by Methodist at third with 662, Belmont with 671, and Montevallo with 673.

The host Birmingham-Southern Panthers finished ninth with a two-round total of 706. Sophomore Ellen Chun led the Panthers and placed 10th overall with a score of 164.
