No. 16 Women's Golf finishes third at Piedmont Fall Invitational

CLARKESVILLE, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team opened the 2012-13 season at the Piedmont Fall Invitational this past weekend, placing third in the field of 10 teams.

The Panthers scored a team total of 641, placing behind top-ranked Methodist's 15-time defending national champion 'A' team, which carded a 606, and Methodist's 'B' team with 614.

Freshman Sarah Dolmovich was BSC's top finisher, placing 10th overall with a two-round total of 156 (77-79). Sophomore Jesse Lawley was 12th with 159 (86-73), followed by freshman Wallis Fairvalley at 15th with 164 (79-85), junior Kaleigh Toole at 17th with 165 (84-81), and senior Michelle Morris at 24th with 168 (85-83). Junior Rachelle Struthers was 13th, playing as an individual, with a 162 (81-81).

The Panthers are back in action this weekend at the Montevallo Fall Invitational at Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Ala.
