Women's Golf moves to ninth in latest Golfstat rankings

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team is ranked ninth in the nation in the latest rankings by Golfstat.com.

The Panthers have recorded a scoring average of 81.24 so far this fall. Defending and 13-time national champion Methodist University leads the ratings with a scoring average of 77.23, followed by Southern Athletic Association member Centre College with 78.39 and Washington University St. Louis with 78.98.

BSC is at home this weekend hosting the 'Southern Shootout at Highland Park Golf Club. No. 1 Methodist, No. 2 Centre, and No. 3 Washington will all be participating, as well as No. 11 Texas-Tyler, No. 16 Wittenberg, No. 21 Rhodes, and No. 24 Piedmont. Both rounds (Sunday, Oct. 7, and Monday, Oct. 8) will tee off with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
