Indiana State Wins BSC Ann Rhodes Southern Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Indiana State finished with a team aggregate score of 632 (311-321) to win the 2013 BSC Ann Rhodes Southern Shootout at the Par 72, 5802-yard Oxmoor Valley Golf Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

Birmingham Southern finished fifth carding 675 36-hole total. Methodist and Harding University tied for second with a 653 followed by Montevallo in fourth with a 667. Catawba College (694), Jackson State (704), Spring Hill College (731) and New Orleans (742) were sixth through ninth, respectively.

Jesse Lawley was BSC's top individual with 164 (80-84), tying for 11th. Kaleigh Toole tied for 12th with a 166 (86-80) and Michelle Morris was 29th with a 177 (88-89). Sara Dolomvich and Rachelle Struthers tied for 30th with a 179 (95-84).

Harding's Brittany Marquez shot the tournament's low round of 71 on Sunday and shot a final round 81 to claim medalist honors. Indiana State claimed second through fourth individually with Christopher McCall (77-79) was second with a 156 followed by teammate Reece Feducia (75-82) with a 157. ISU's Emily Dixon (78-81) and Methodist's Kelsie Carralero (86-73) tied for fourth.

The Panthers return to the links in a dual match versus Centre College on March 3 at The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay in Chattanooga, Tenn.
