Women's Golf in 16th at NCAA Championship

SANDESTIN, Fla.–The No. 18 Birmingham-Southern women's golf team carded a 343 today in round two of the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla.

The score of 343 is one stroke higher than yesterday's 342, giving the Panthers a two-round total of 685. No. 2 Mary Hardin-Baylor and No. 11 Texas Tyler are now tied for the top team spot with 617, followed by No. 5 George Fox with 623 and No. 1 Methodist, the 13-time defending national champion, at fifth with 631.

UT Tyler's Laura Lindsey still leads all individuals after shooting 72 again today for a combined total of 144, followed by George Fox's Kelsey Morrison with 147 and Methodist's Jennifer Sullivan with 148.

Sophomore Jesse Lawley leads BSC after carding an 88 today for a total of 166, putting her in 48th place overall.

The Panthers will tee off in the first tee times tomorrow in the third round, starting at 7:30 a.m. Central.
