MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—Sophomore Tanner Dixon was the individual champion at the Southern Athletic Association Preview, Monday, at Old Fort Golf Course in Murfreesboro, Tenn. As a team, the Birmingham-Southern men finished second and the women were fifth.
Dixon led the Panthers in both rounds with scores of 69,71 and won the individual crown as an individual with 140 (-4) total. The Panther men fired a second-round 299 on Monday to fall to second place after leading the first round, and the women shot 366 on Monday to stay in fifth place.
Meg Callahan followed up her first-round score of 75 with an 84 the second day to finish in 10th place individually. She has led the team throughout both of its first two tournaments this year and has notched top-10 finishes in each.
Rhodes, the defending NCAA Women's Division III Champion, defeated second-place Berry by 14 strokes to walk away with the tournamaent victory on the women's side. On the men's side, Centre College came back from two-behind to beat BSC by 10 shots overall with a score of 577 (290,287). The BSC men finished second with a 587 (288,299) total.

(Men) Evan Piedrahita 70-78—148 (t-7th), Steven LaMay 75-76—151 (t-11th), Spencer Honey 78-74—152 (17th), Patrick Newsom 74-81—155 (t-23rd), and Connor David 85-81—166 (32nd).
The BSC women will play in Birmingham this weekend, hosting the 'Southern Showdown at Highland Park Golf Course, Oct. 5 and 6, while the men return to action next weekend at the Golfweek D3 Preview, Oct. 12-14, in Sandestin, Fla.
