SAA Tournament: BSC Places Fourth at Conference

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team finished fourth at the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Tournament on Sunday.

Berry College won the conference tournament at 67-over par. As a team, the BSC shot 980 to finish 104 over.

The Panthers were led by freshman Alexis Chambers (Ft. Payne, Ala./Ft. Payne HS), who shot 81 on Sunday to finish 23-over par. Freshman Emma Phillips (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood HS) shot a 72, the round low score for the Panthers. Phillips placed 15th at 26-over for the tournament.

Three other BSC golfers also finished in the top 25. Junior Sarah Moon (Cordova, Tenn./St. George's Independent School) tied for 16th at 27-over, sophomore Sarah Posey (Covington, Tenn./First Assembly School) placed 22nd at 31-over par and sophomore Madison Dalton (Canton, Ga./Woodstock HS) placed 25th 36-over.

Senior Drew McDonagh (Germantown, Tenn./Hutchison School) finished 46-over par to tie for 34th place.
