SAA Tournament: Panthers Finish Fourth

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team finished in fourth place at the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Tournament on Sunday.

The Panthers shot 968 total in the three-round championship, finishing at 92-over par. BSC dropped a spot on the final day from third to fourth.

Sophomore Alexis Chambers (Ft. Payne, Ala./Ft. Payne HS) led the Panthers, placing fifth at 16-over par. She shot 83 on Friday but finished with back-to-back rounds of 76 on Saturday and Sunday. She was named First Team All-SAA.

Junior Sarah Posey (Covington, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) also finished in the top 10, placing seventh. Posey shot rounds of 82, 77 and 79 to finish 19-over par. She was selected as Second Team All-SAA.
