SUWANEE, Ga.—Junior Alexis Sweda and sophomore Stephanie Gore have been named SCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 28 through Sunday, April 3.
Sweda, an attacker from Germantown, Tenn., helped BSC to a 3-0 record this week, and tied the single-game scoring record against LaGrange on Friday with eight goals. On the week, she had 12 goals and three assists, as well as three ground balls and two draw controls. She took 19 total shots, 15 of those on-goal, and her shot percentage .632 and shot-on-goal percentage was .789.
Gore, a midfielder from Davie, Fla., led the Panthers with 17 ground balls over the three games, as well as eight draw controls and six caused turnovers. Gore was also an offensive threat, scoring three goals, including the game-winner against Millsaps on Saturday.
The Panther women's lacrosse team is in action on the road this weekend, taking on Centre College and Fontbonne University in Danville, Ky.
