BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern is set to host the 2011 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship this weekend in Panther Stadium.
The tournament will kick off on Friday with a noon game between fourth-seeded BSC and fifth-seed Millsaps. On Saturday, top-seeded Sewanee will face the winner of Friday's game at 11 a.m., followed by a match-up between second-seeded Colorado College and third-seeded Centre College at 1:30 p.m. The championship game will take place on Sunday at noon.
All games will feature a live video broadcast and live game tracker, both free of charge. For more information, visit the tournament web site.
It will be the first SCAC tournament that BSC has ever hosted, as well as one of the first that any BSC team has ever participated in. Both Panther lacrosse teams are eligible for SCAC post-season play this year, with the men traveling to Colorado Springs for this weekend's tournament, hosted by Colorado College.
