Golden earns SAA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week nod
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Senior Madeline Golden has been named Southern Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
Golden, a midfielder from Hartselle, Ala., had a dominating week for the Panthers, recording 13 goals and five assists over two games. She had nine goals and one assist against Reinhardt on Wednesday, and four goals and four assists in the win against Oglethorpe on Sunday. Golden also had three ground balls, six draw controls, and one caused turnover against Reinhardt, and seven ground balls, nine draw controls, and one caused turnover against Oglethorpe.
Both the men's and women's teams are in action this Wednesday evening at home, with the men hosting Transylvania at 5 p.m. and the women hosting in-state rival Huntingdon at 7:30 p.m. on Battle Field at Panther Stadium.
