BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Seven Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse players earned post-season honors from the Southern Athletic Association, the league office announced today.
Senior attacker Madeline Golden (Hartselle, Ala.), sophomore midfielder Amanda Amerson (Orlando, Fla.), and senior defender Logan Harris (Peachtree City, Ga.) were voted First-Team All-SAA, while senior midfielder Anna Barry (Wilmington, N.C.) earned Second-Team honors. Sophomore attacker Taylor Bates (Hoover, Ala.), freshman midfielder Hannah Hudson (Hoover, Ala.), and sophomore defender Shana O'Brien (Toms River, N.J.) were named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Golden led the SAA in points (95), goals (75), shots (171), and shots on goal (143) this past season, and was fourth in draw controls (55). She also became BSC's all-time leader in assists (42) and draw controls (139) during the season.
Amerson ranked fourth in the SAA with 57 goals and 56 ground balls, fifth in shots (122), sixth in shots on goal (91), seventh in caused turnovers (24), and eighth in points (69). Harris was second in the conference with 44 caused turnovers, and third with 61 ground balls.
