Women's Lacrosse travels to Centre to open postseason play

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team travels to Danville, Ky., on Saturday for the quarterfinals of the Southern Athletic Association Championship, facing third-seeded Centre at 1 p.m. EDT.

The sixth-seeded Panthers are 4-8 on the season, while the Colonels are 6-9. Centre won the regular season match between the teams, 14-11, in Danville.

Centre's Jacqueline Anderson is fourth in the SAA with 45 goals and ninth with 54 points, while Ellen Resinger leads the conference and is 10th in the nation with 105 draw controls.

BSC junior Amanda Amerson ranks 11th in the league in goals (39), assists (11), and points (50), while ranking fourth with 42 ground balls. Freshman Natalie Daniel is fourth with 62 draw controls.
