Panthers Pick up 19-11 Road Win Over Huntingdon

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team improved to 3-5 on the year after defeating Huntingdon College 19-11 on the road Thursday night.  The Panthers outscored Huntingdon 12-5 in the first half to pace the win.

 

Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) continued her stellar play with a game-high six goals.  Alyssa Gentzyel (Manassas, Va./Forest Park HS), Ashley Shepherd (Dandridge, Tenn./Jefferson County HS), and Natalie Daniel (Ooltewah, Tenn./Baylor School) finished with four goals each, respectively.

 

Jillian Montgomery (Newnan, Ga./LaGrange) spent the full 60 minutes in cage to earn the win.

 

The Panthers return home on Friday, March 10 in a battle with Bridgewater (Va.).  The game is set to start at 5:30 p.m. in Krulak Stadium.
