BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s soccer team shut-out the visiting Millsaps College Majors 4-0 tonight at BSC Soccer Park.
Lindsay Miller got the first goal for BSC in the 19th-minute off an assist from Linda Amaya. Alicia Plotky scored again in the 27th-minute to close out scoring in the first half. The Panthers outshot Millsaps 11-5 in the half. None of the Millsaps shots were on goal.
In the second half the Panthers continued to control the match. Claire Hooten was able to net two goals in the period to give the Panthers the commanding win. Both goals were unassisted, coming in the 76th- and 79th-minutes.
The win improves BSC to 5-4-2 on the season. They will be back at BSC Soccer Park on Monday night as they host the Auburn-Montgomery Senators at 7:00 p.m.
