Soccer teams host conference weekend
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Birmingham-Southern soccer teams will begin SCAC-play this weekend with a pair of double-headers at BSC Soccer Park. They host Rhodes at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday followed by Hendrix at noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The men (5-1-0, 0-0-0 SCAC) will start things off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, coming off a 3-0 shut out of Fontbonne University last Sunday. Rhodes comes in with a 3-2-1 record and an 0-1 record in conference play. The Lynx lost to Hendrix 3-2 in overtime in Conway last Friday. The Warriors will roll into BSC Soccer Park on Sunday for a noon match-up following their game at Millsaps on Friday. They are currently 4-3-0 overall and 1-0-0 in SCAC-play
The women (2-4-0, 0-0-0 SCAC) are coming off a brutal 2-1 overtime loss to Emory on Tuesday. They will face Rhodes at 8:00 p.m. following the conclusion of the men's game. The Lynx come in at 3-2-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the SCAC. They lost 0-2 to Hendrix in Conway last Friday. Sunday's match with Hendrix will be at 2:00 p.m., also following the men. The Warriors come into Birmingham with a 5-1-0 overall record and they are 1-0-0 in conference before their game at Millsaps on Friday.

Please note: The Panthers are still in the NCAA transition phase and their games, while official conference games, will not count in the SCAC standings this sesason. So, BSC will remain at the bottom of the SCAC table regardless of outcomes of their games this season.
