Box Score

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -
The BSC women's soccer team cruised to an easy victory over the Division I ASU Hornets on Sunday, 9-2 in Montgomery.  With the win the Panthers improve to 2-3 on the season.

The Panthers got started early, #Sara Menton# got her first of two goals in the fifth minute to get BSC on the board.

Three other Panthers got multiple goals on the day, #Alicia Plotky# and #Linda Amaya# each had a pair, and #Dani Mayer# scored her first and second collegiate goals back-to-back before the match was over.  She scored in the 28th minute off a free kick and again in the 36th minute.  #Brandi Mira# also got her first college goal off a collected rebound in the 23rd minute.

Sara Menton capped the offense, scoring the Panthers' ninth goal in the 63rd minute off an assist from #Lauren Metzger#.

#Amber Hernandez# started the match in goal for BSC and saw little action in her 11 minutes.  #Ruth Hanks# took over for the following 79 minutes and got one save and allowed both ASU goals.

The Panthers will return to BSC Soccer Park on Tuesday to attempt to get in that game with Emory that was rained out on Friday.  The Eagles will return to the Hilltop for the 6:00 p.m. make-up game.  The weather is still questionable even for Tuesday, so check back at BSCsports.net for all updated schedules and times.  Any changes to this, or any other Panther schedule, will be posted as soon as they are decided.
