Women's Soccer records third straight shutout with 3-0 win against Rhodes
MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team picked up its third straight conference shutout today on the road against Rhodes College, defeating the Lynx 3-0.
The Panthers are now 9-6 overall and 4-4 against SCAC opponents.
Junior Alicia Plotky scored the Panthers' first two goals of the game, both off assists from sophomore Devon Weldon, one in the 30th minute of the first half, and the second in the seventh minute of the second half. Junior Linda Amaya then put BSC up 3-0, assisted by Plotky, in the 33rd minute.
Statistics were not immediately available, but will be posted here once they are.
The Panthers return home next weekend, facing Oglethorpe on Friday at 6 p.m., and Sewanee on Sunday at noon at BSC Soccer Park.
