Freshman goalkeeper Richelle Byrd played the entire game for BSC, tallying her third shutout of the season. The Panthers out-shot ASC 21-1, led by Plotky with five shots.
“I’m really proud of our execution tonight,” Head Coach Benji Walton said. “We’ve played in a lot of tight games and had many previous opportunities but weren’t able to finish. It was good for the team to get more involved and take advantage of those opportunities tonight.”
The Panthers open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on the road next weekend, traveling to face Austin College, Friday, and then taking on University of Dallas, Sunday.
