Women's Soccer falls to Hendrix on the road, 3-1

CONWAY, Ark.—The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team lost on the road to Hendrix College, 3-1, Sunday afternoon. The Panthers fall to 6-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the SCAC.

Hendrix scored two of its three goals in the first half and led 2-0 at halftime. BSC senior Alicia Plotky got the Panthers on the board in the 57th minute, but the Warriors scored once more to go up 3-1 while holding BSC scoreless for the remainder of the match.

The Panthers had plenty of chances, out-shooting Hendrix 23-17 and 12-8 on-goal, but Hendrix made 11 saves - 10 by goalkeeper Allison Mosley and one team save.

Sophomore Richelle Byrd started in goal for BSC and recorded two saves, and senior Amber Hernandez came in for the second half and made three saves.

BSC is on the road again next weekend, continuing conference action against Millsaps on Friday at 6 p.m. and Rhodes on Sunday at noon.
