BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team will open its home slate tomorrow evening, taking on Piedmont College at 6:30 p.m. at the BSC Soccer Park.
The Panthers are 1-2-1 on the season, having most recently lost to No. 3 Johns Hopkins, 2-0, and Meredith College, 2-1. On opening weekend, BSC tied with Mississippi College, 1-1, and defeated Methodist University, 6-1.
Junior Bailey Kimbell leads the team with three goals, while junior Amanda Babbin leads with three assists. Junior goalkeeper Richelle Byrd has played the majority of the team's minutes in goal, recording eight saves for a 1.32 goals against average.
The Piedmont Lions are 4-0 on the season after defeating Westminster College and Fontbonne University in Memphis, Tenn., and then beating Huntingdon and Emory & Henry College at home this past weekend.
