Women's Soccer falls to Covenant on the road, 1-0

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team went on the road again this evening and lost to Covenant College, 1-0.

The Panthers fall to 3-4-1, while the Scots move to 7-1-1.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 61st minute by Covenant's Mae Mae Johnson, assisted by Mo Cross.

BSC out-shot the Scots 11-7 overall and 6-4 on-goal, led by junior Kelly Craft with four shots. Junior goalkeeper Richelle Byrd played all 90 minutes and recorded three saves.

The Panthers open Southern Athletic Association play this weekend, facing Rhodes on Saturday in Memphis at 1 p.m.
