ATLANTA, Ga.—Junior Amanda Babbin has been named Southern Athletic Association Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played Oct. 8-14, the league office announced today.
Babbin, from Carmel, Ind., scored twice in each of Birmingham-Southern's 6-0 wins last week. She also had an assist on the game-winning goal against Hendrix on Saturday. Babbin recorded three shots in each game, putting her shot percentage at .667 for the week, and totaled 11 points.
The Panthers won their third-straight game yesterday with a 4-1 win against Huntingdon on the road, in which Babbin scored another goal. The Panthers return home this weekend, facing Berry on Friday at 5 p.m. and Oglethorpe on Sunday at noon.
