BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team won its fifth consecutive match on Wednesday night, downing the Belhaven Blazers 1-0.
In the sixth minute, freshman midfielder Abby Kay Choate scored the lone goal of the match, beating the keeper with a ball smashed into the left side of the net. Sophomore forward Rachael Motamed crossed the ball in from the left side of the pitch and found Choate waiting to put it away.
