Katelyn Geddings joined the women’s soccer coaching staff full time in August of 2016 after working as a volunteer goalkeeper coach for the Panthers back in 2013.


In her first season full-time on staff, Geddings’ keepers earned five shutouts with a .741 save percentage.


Most recently a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater Jacksonville State University, Geddings helped JSU to a third place ranking in the Ohio Valley Conference.  Her goalkeepers allowed 26 goals against a .789 save percentage. Among the accomplishments were three goalkeeper of the week awards from the OVC.


She was also an assistant coach at Sewanee in 2014, where she helped lead the team to a 13-6 overall record, finishing third in the Southern Athletic Association.  During her year at Sewanee, Gedding’s goalkeeper led the conference with a save percentage of .729, allowing only 19 goals.


Her coaching experience includes helping lead the Fusion Futbol Club to numerous tournament championships across two seasons as an assistant coach.  She also was an instructor at Preston Goldfarb’s Soccer Camp.


A 2013 graduate of Jacksonville State University with a degree in psychology and minor in coaching, Geddings was a two-year starter for the Gamecocks, earning three Goalkeeper of the Week honors.  She ranked second nationally in saves, led the conference for two years with most saves, and was named second-team all-conference during her playing career. In 2017, Geddings earned her Master’s degree in Sports Management from Jacksonville State.
