Tennis teams remain undefeated with three wins in Orange Beach

ORANGE BEACH, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern tennis teams both remained undefeated this weekend, winning three matches in Orange Beach, Ala.

The teams defeated Transylvania on Friday, LeTourneau on Saturday, and Spring Hill on Sunday. The men moved to 5-0 and the women moved to 4-0 on the season.

On Friday, the women swept Transy, while the men won 8-1, and Saturday's matches against LeTourneau had the same scores for both teams. On Sunday, the women dropped their first set of the season, but still defeated Spring Hill 8-1, while the men won 7-2.

"Both teams played so well this weekend," Head Women's Coach Ann Dielen said. "We could not be prouder of going undefeated, and it's a real testament to all the hard work they've put in so far. It was also nice to finally play some matches outside in the warm sunshine."

The Panthers open Southern Athletic Association play next weekend in Georgia, facing Oglethorpe on Saturday in Atlanta and Berry on Sunday in Rome, Ga.
