Women's Tennis moves to 7-2 with wins over Union, St. Scholastica

ORLANDO, Fla.—The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team won its third- and fourth-straight matches on Monday, defeating Union College 9-0 and College of St. Scholastica 7-2 at Sanlando Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.

The Panthers moved to 7-2 with the two victories.

Against St. Scholastica, BSC won all three doubles points. In singles play, sophomore Carlee Petro and senior Sara Cohen won at one and two, junior Mary Evelyn Carroll won at No. 4 singles, and sophomore Virginia Hammond won at No. 6 singles.

Full results were not immediately available for the match against Union.

The Panthers will have a day off before facing Whitworth and Hope on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. EDT.
