    NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team fell 5-0 Saturday in the semifinals of the Southern Athletic Association Tournament to top seeded Sewanee. BSC finished the season a 7-10 overall.

The Panthers are looking for redemption as both fell in the championship game to top seeded Sewanee last year. The tournament runs Friday, April 29-May 1 at Burns Park in Conway, Ark.

    ATLANTA - The SAA released the women's tennis Player of the Week for matches competed April 3 - 9 and, following voting by the league head coaches, junior Carlee Petro (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) of Birmingham-Southern claimed the honor after an exceptional week in which she toppled some of the top players in the region.

  • Women Earn ITA All-Academic Team Award

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern College women’s tennis team has earned its fifth Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team award in six years. Four Panthers received individual recognition, being named ITA Scholar-Athletes for their work on the court and in the classroom. BSC women’s tennis has had a Scholar-Athlete named in each of the past seven seasons.
