    Panthers Fall 7-2 Against D2 UAH BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team fell 7-2 to NCAA Division II opponent University of Alabama at Huntsville Friday afternoon on the Ann Dielen Tennis Complex. No. 42 Carlee Petro (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) won at both #1 singles and #1 doubles.

    Women Top Covenant 8-1 in Home Opener BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team opened its home season with an 8-1 win over Covenant College in Ann Dielen Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon. The Panthers are now 2-1 on the year.

    2017 Season Preview: Women’s Tennis BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Coming off a second place finish in 2016, the Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team is looking to take the Southern Athletic Association three-time champion Sewanee. The path uprooting their rival continues this weekend as they open their home season Saturday, Feb. 11 against Covenant College at noon. Part of their process is to be present and enjoy the moment.

    Panthers Split First Two Days of Competition SEGUIN, Texas – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s tennis teams split their first two days of spring competition in Texas. BSC fell 9-0 to nationally ranked Trinity University and then defeated Texas Lutheran 7-2.

    Panthers Ranked After Fall Season; Petro No. 42 in Nation BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Both the Birmingham-Southern College men’s and women’s tennis teams closed out a competitive fall season by receiving national recognition. The women rank 10th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association South Region, while the men are ranked 13th.

The Panthers participated in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, providing items children and families need this winter.

    Women Earn ITA All-Academic Team Award BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern College women’s tennis team has earned its fifth Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team award in six years. Four Panthers received individual recognition, being named ITA Scholar-Athletes for their work on the court and in the classroom. BSC women’s tennis has had a Scholar-Athlete named in each of the past seven seasons.
