May 23, 2008 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Lex Gilmore has completed her intent to enroll in the college and play for the Birmingham-Southern volleyball team in the upcoming 2008 season, coach Pavlina Steffkova announced today.

Gilmore is a 5-8 middle blocker from UMS-Wright Preparatory School in Mobile, Ala., where she earned Honorable Mention All-State honors and helped lead the Bulldogs to the state finals. Gilmore has been a member of the Dean’s List and the Headmaster’s List, as well as Who’s Who Among American High School Students.

Gilmore joins Hope Harris and Haley Johnson as a part of BSC’s incoming volleyball class this fall.
