Volleyball downs North Alabama, 3-2, on the road for 10th straight victory
FLORENCE, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team won a five-set nail-biter against North Alabama, Saturday evening in Florence, Ala. The Panthers move to 21-7 on the season with their 10th straight win, while the Lions drop to 17-8.
BSC won the first sets, 25-15, but the Lions came back to win sets two and three by the scores of 26-24 and 25-17. The Panthers won the fourth set, 25-18, to push the match to five sets, after which BSC won 15-12 to clinch the match.
Junior Sarah Harris led BSC with 21 kills, followed by senior Casey Demos with 12 kills and no errors for a .480 attack percentage, and junior Morgan Anderson with 11 kills. Junior Milica Stojanovic led with 45 assists, and sophomore Jennifer McKannan led with 13 digs followed by junior Alex Norten with 10.
The Panthers are on the road again next weekend, traveling to Sewanee to face Centre College and DePauw University, Saturday, Oct. 25, and Hendrix College and Sewanee, Sunday, Oct. 26.
