Volleyball sweeps Centre, DePauw at SCAC East/Central Divisional

SEWANEE, Tenn. Extending its winning streak to 12 matches, the Birmingham-Southern (23-7) volleyball team swept Centre College and DePauw University, both by the score of 3-0, Saturday at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference East/Central Divisional, hosted by Sewanee in Sewanee, Tenn.

The Panthers won the match against Centre by the scores of 25-21, 25-6, 25-14. Juniors Sarah Harris and Morgan Anderson led with 12 and 11 kills, respectively, junior Milica Stojanovic led with 30 assists, and sophomore Jennifer McKannan led with 16 digs.

Against DePauw, BSC won by the scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-23. Junior Caitlin Dees led with 11 kills, Stojanovic led with 32 assists, and Harris and McKannan led with 12 digs apiece.

BSC plays twice more tomorrow, taking on Hendrix College and Sewanee at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
