Volleyball splits on second day of SCAC West/Central Divisional

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -
The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team split today on day two of the SCAC West/Central Divisional, hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, defeating Millsaps College, 3-1, but falling to No. 11 Colorado College by the same score.


The Panthers now stand at 3-7 on the season.

Against Millsaps, freshman Shelby Moore led with 17 kills and eight blocks, junior Christine Denning led with 47 assists, junior Jennifer McKannan led with 30 digs, and sophomore Hope Harris recorded three service aces. Against Colorado College, senior Sarah Harris led with 14 kills, Denning led with 40 assists, McKannan led with 22 digs, freshman Presley Dickson led with four service aces, and sophomore Haley Johnson recorded a team-high four blocks.

BSC is on the road again next weekend, taking on Piedmont College and Berry College in two neutral-site matches in LaGrange, Ga., Saturday, Sept. 26.
