MEMPHIS, Tenn. -
The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team won its fifth and sixth straight matches today, sweeping Oglethorpe University and Hendrix College, 3-0, at the SCAC East/Central Divisional, hosted by Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.
BSC moves to 9-7 on the season with the wins.

The Panthers defeated OU by the scores of 25-7, 25-22, 25-15. Senior Sarah Harris led with 12 kills, and junior Christine Denning led with 26 assists. Junior Jennifer McKannan also had a team-high 17 digs, and freshman Lauren Reibe had two service aces.

Harris led BSC again in the match against Hendrix with 14 kills, and Denning led again with 26 assists. McKannan led with 24 digs, and freshman Presley Dickson led with three service aces. The Panthers won by the scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-15.

The Panthers travel to Conway, Ark., next weekend for the SCAC West/Central Divisional #2, taking on No. 15 Southwestern University and No. 12 Colorado College, Saturday, and No. 16 Trinity University and Rhodes College, Sunday.
