Volleyball defeats Sewanee, Rhodes at SCAC Crossover

ATLANTA—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team picked up two wins today at the SCAC East/Central Crossover, defeating Sewanee, 3-0, and Rhodes, 3-2, in Atlanta.

The Panthers move to 23-8 on the season overall, with a 10-6 mark against conference opponents.

Against Sewanee, junior Hope Harris led with nine kills, sophomore Presley Dickson led with 13 digs, senior Christine Denning led with 32 assists, and sophomore Alexis Pappas led with three blocks.

In the Rhodes match, sophomore Chelsea Pittman led with 14 kills, followed by freshman Alex Bothe with 10. Denning recorded 37 assists and McKannan led with 28 digs. Dickson also recorded 12 digs.

BSC is back in Atlanta next weekend for the Emory Halloween Tournament, facing Randolph-Macon and Emory on Friday and Washington & Lee and Berry on Saturday.
