Prior to BSC's match against Huntingdon, McKannan's father, David, who was diagnosed with ALS three years ago, was honored for his contributions over the last four years to the Panther volleyball program. The team took donations for the ALS Foundation of Alabama and announced that they would rename the Hilltop Classic to the "Mack Attack Classic" in his honor in years to come.
Other All-Tournament honorees were Claire Warren from Rhodes, Courtney Nordyke from Mississippi College, and Erin Godwin from Berry.
The Panthers are on the road next weekend, traveling to Memphis for the Rhodes Fall Classic to face Franklin & Marshall and Millsaps on Friday and Central Baptist and Webster on Saturday.
