Panthers keep up winning ways with 3-0 sweeps of Sewanee, Centre

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—
The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team kept rolling with two more wins on Saturday, sweeping Sewanee and Centre on day one of the SCAC East/Central Divisional. The Panthers move to 17-2 overall and have won nine straight matches.

Freshman outside hitter Alex Bothe led BSC in kills in both matches, recording 11 against Sewanee with a .588 attack percentage, and 12 against Centre. She also had eight digs in each match, and six total service aces.

Senior setter Christine Denning posted 15 assists against Sewanee, splitting setting duties with sophomore Lauren Reibe, who had 19 assists. Denning had 30 assists against Centre.

Senior libero Jennifer McKannan led the Panthers with 14 digs against Sewanee and 18 against Centre. Junior outside hitter Hope Harris also had 10 digs against Centre.

The team is back in action tomorrow, taking on Millsaps at 11 a.m. and Oglethorpe at 3 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum.
