Volleyball wins two more at SCAC West-East Divisional

SAN ANTONIO, Texas—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team extended its winning streak to six matches on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Trinity University and a 3-1 win over University of Dallas at the SCAC West-East Divisional, hosted by Trinity in San Antonio.

The Panthers now stand at 12-12 overall and 6-3 in the SCAC.

Against Trinity, the Panthers won by the scores of 25-22, 25-21, 26-24. Sophomore Alex Bothe led with 12 kills and recorded yet another double-double with 11 digs. Junior Shelby Moore also had 10 kills, and junior setter Lauren Reibe dished out 36 assists. Senior Hope Harris and junior libero Presley Dickson also posted 11 digs apiece.

Against Dallas, BSC won 25-10, 25-19, 26-28, 25-11, led by junior Chelsea Pittman and freshman Kelly Foster with 12 kills. Dickson led with 16 digs, and Reibe posted a double-double with 45 assists and 10 digs. Moore was impressive at the net with six blocks - 2 solo, 4 assisted.

Action continues tomorrow as BSC takes on Austin College at 9 a.m. and No. 9 Southwestern University at 3 p.m.
