Volleyball loses to Shorter on the road, 3-0

ROME, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team lost on the road to Shorter University, 3-0, Saturday in Rome, Ga.

The Panthers fall to 12-16, while the Hawks move to 23-6.

BSC was again playing without Head Coach Judy Green as well as starting setter Lauren Reibe, who were both out of town due to family emergencies.

The Panthers lost by the scores of 25-17, 25-9, and 25-15. Sophomore Alex Bothe led with seven kills, senior Hope Harris - who normally plays outside hitter - led with 14 assists, and junior libero Presley Dickson led with 11 digs.

BSC struggled offensively, hitting only .104 to Shorter's impressive .366 team percentage.

The Panthers stay on the road for a match against Martin Methodist this Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Pulaski, Tenn.
