Panthers rebound with 3-1 win against Oglethorpe

ATLANTA, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team rebounded from its loss yesterday with a 3-1 win today against Oglethorpe in Atlanta.

The Panthers move to 11-6 overall and 6-1 in the Southern Athletic Association; the Stormy Petrels fall to 2-7 overall and 0-7 in league play. BSC once again leads the conference standings, tied with Berry at 6-1. The Vikings defeated BSC yesterday to hand the Panthers their first conference loss of the season.

BSC won by the scores of 25-18, 25-17, 16-25, 25-17. Statistics were not immediately available.

"We bounced back to earn a good win today," Head Coach Judy Green said. "We won every long rally today because we committed to trying to extend long rallies. We served extremely well today and we were aggressive. I thought Sara Kate Bracewell came in and helped us with our defensive effort."

The Panthers return home next weekend, facing Hendrix on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Rhodes on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum.
