LaGRANGE, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team rolled to 9-0 on the season with a 3-1 win against LaGrange on the road Friday evening.
BSC won by the scores of 25-13, 21-25, 25-19, 27-25. Four different Panthers led with eight kills apiece, while sophomore setter Emily Dang led with 37 assists and had a double-double with 12 digs as well. Senior Sarassa Burrus led the defense with 21 digs, and sophomore Katie McCormack was also in double digits with 10 assists.
"We played really hard against a very inspired LaGrange team," Head Coach Judy Green said. "We had to fight hard for every point. At this point in the season, every experience we encounter is a way for our team to learn how to adjust and find ways to counter what an opponent tries to make us do. Tonight we found a way."
The Panthers return home on Tuesday evening, opening Southern Athletic Association with a 7 p.m. match against Millsaps in Bill Battle Coliseum.
