BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Securing its spot atop the Southern Athletic Association standings, the Birmingham-Southern volleyball team swept Millsaps College, 3-0, Wednesday evening in Bill Battle Coliseum.

The Panthers move to 16-6 overall and 7-1 in the SAA with their ninth-straight win, while the Majors fall to 15-2 overall and 6-2 in league play. The Majors won the first meeting between the teams back on Sept. 17, 3-1 in Jackson, Miss.

The third set started off close, with the teams playing to six ties up to 11-11 before BSC scored seven straight to pull ahead 18-11. The Panthers never looked back after that, ultimately winning the set, 25-18, and the match on a kill by senior Katie O'Bar.
